SCHEDULES & LEAVE

Assign a regular schedule

Use a repeating policy for people who normally work the same days and hours.

Choose regular hours or a roster#

Use Regular schedules when someone follows one repeating workday. Use Shift rosters when hours vary by date, someone works several shifts in one day, or you need a named team schedule for a fixed period.

Before assigning a regular schedule, check that the employee has an active clock-in branch and that the policy is suitable for that branch. Managers cannot assign their own schedules.

Assign the policy#

  1. 1

Open Attendance policies → Regular schedules.

  2. 2

Search or filter for the people you need to update.

  3. 3

Choose the person’s policy, or use the available selection controls to apply a policy to several people.

  4. 4

Save the assignments and read the result for each person.

  5. 5

Resolve any failed rows. In a bulk action, some people may save successfully while others require attention.

Assign a policy to the intended person and confirm the save result. A role or branch change is a separate action.Demonstration data · Hooteyes guide preview

Return someone from rosters to regular hours#

  1. 1

Save their intended regular policy and confirm their home branch is active.

  2. 2

    Choose Return to regular schedule.

  3. 3

Read the confirmation: upcoming roster shifts for that person will be cancelled.

  4. 4

Complete the action on a day when no attendance or started roster shift blocks the change.

Keep in mind

Removing one roster assignment does not restore regular hours. An open session, attendance already recorded today, or an overnight roster crossing into today may prevent the return. Finish that shift day and try on a suitable day.
