Your attendance device identifies a browser profile. The first eligible phone browser is normally approved automatically. An additional browser or replacement phone needs an owner or admin to review it.
Using a different browser, clearing site storage, private browsing or switching to an installed app with separate storage can create a new registration even on the same phone. Keep using the same browser profile for a consistent experience.
Employee: if approval is required
Desktop visits do not register attendance devices. An owner does not need an attendance phone because owners do not clock in.
Sign in on the phone browser you intend to use for work.
Read the device status on the attendance screen.
If it is pending, ask an owner or admin to review your registration in Devices.
After approval, refresh and confirm that the pending message has cleared.
Owner or admin: review a device
Open Devices and review pending registrations.
Confirm the employee and requested phone browser with the person before approving.
Approve the correct registration. Do not approve your own additional device; ask another authorised administrator.
For a lost or unused browser, use Revoke and read the confirmation. Use Approve again if a revoked registration should be restored.
When registrations are blocked
A person can have at most five non-revoked registrations and ten registration creations in a rolling 24-hour period. An administrator may need to revoke unused registrations. Repeatedly clearing browser storage can make the problem worse.
If the browser cannot save its local identity, use normal browsing with site storage enabled. Contact your administrator if the device state remains unavailable.
