COMPANY & PEOPLE

Set up branches and departments

Give each work location the correct time zone, clock-in boundary and people.

Create an active branch#

Time zones affect scheduled dates, working hours and overnight shifts. The branch radius controls distance from the workplace; GPS uncertainty is a separate policy setting. Making one larger does not correct an inaccurate value in the other.

  1. 1

Open Company → Branches and choose the action to add a branch.

  2. 2

Enter a recognisable name and the branch’s time zone.

  3. 3

Set the actual workplace location. Review the map or coordinates carefully; a map’s viewing centre is not always the workplace pin.

  4. 4

Set the allowed clock-in radius around that location.

  5. 5

Save, then verify the branch details before assigning staff.

Organise people into departments#

Departments group staff for administration and report filtering. Manager permissions still follow branch access, not department membership.

  1. 1

Open Company → Departments and create a department, such as Operations.

  2. 2

Open Team → Your people and choose View profile for a staff member.

  3. 3

Choose the department and save the person’s work assignments.

Use a branch request when someone else supplies the details#

Branch requests lets a representative propose a location for an existing company. Owners and admins can create a setup link from Manage request links. Share it with the intended representative; it is different from a normal staff invitation.

Review the proposal, location, time zone and requester before approving it. Submission alone does not create unrestricted company access. Requesters can review their own requests through My branch requests in the profile menu.

Archive or restore a branch#

  1. 1

Make sure everyone at the branch has finished their open attendance sessions.

  2. 2

Open the branch’s archive action and read the confirmation.

  3. 3

Move affected staff to an active branch before their next workday, or restore the archived branch when appropriate.

  4. 4

After restoration, recreate necessary invitation links and assign manager access again.

Keep in mind

Archiving preserves attendance history but stops new clock-ins at that branch. Restoring the branch does not reactivate its old invitation links or manager grants.
